Bethel Jean “Jeane” McClung Smith, of Hedrick Drive, Thomasville, formerly of Vienna, WV, passed away on November 29, 2015.
She was an active member of Wayside United Methodist Church, a 50 years member of Eastern Star and was a 35 year volunteer at Camden Clark Hospital and a member of various community organizations. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Curtis B. Smith; and her youngest daughter, Linda Smith Nay.
Surviving are her sisters, Ann Bennett of Ohio and Helen Vensel of North Carolina; a son, Phillip C. Smith of West Virginia; and daughter, Susan Smith Dye of North Carolina; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be December 12, 2015, at Wayside United Methodist Church in Vienna, WV, at 11 a.m.
In memory of Jeane’s love of hats, the family requests that men and women wear their best hat and bring canned goods on Saturday to support the Pastor’s Pantry.
