Betsy Raye Cherry Beauchamp

Betsy Raye Cherry Beauchamp, 53, joined her loving family who preceded her to glory on July 15, 2007, after a long illness. A Funeral service will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, by Rev. Nathan Finsel, and Minister Dustin James. The body will be cremated after the service. Ms. Beauchamp was born in Davidson County on April 28, 1954, to Jackie Edsel Cherry and Mildred Whitlow Cherry. She was retired from Duracell. Ms. Beauchamp was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents, Willard and Leota Whitlow. Surviving are her daughter, Amy Beauchamp of the home, sister, Ineta Cherry of Lexington, nephew, Davis Nifong and wife, Beth of Pffaftown, and lifelong extended family Doris Duffy, Wanda Jones, Charles Duffy and Robbie Duffy. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Children’s Home, P.O. Box 1288, Lexington, NC 27293.
