Betsy Ann Floyd

Betsy Ann Holman Floyd, 60, of Williamson Street, died suddenly, Saturday, July 4, 2009, at her home.   A funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2009, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, with Preacher Clyde Akers officiating.   Mrs. Floyd was born February 2, 1949, in Watauga County, to Walter B. Holman and Theresa Irene Trivett. She is of the Baptist faith. Her father preceded her in death.   Surviving are son, Michael Miller and wife, Gin, of China Grove; daughter, Rebecca Miller of Lexington; her mother of Florida; brothers, Buddy Holman and Frelan Holman, both of Newton; sisters, Judy Ann Holman of Fla., Reba Brooks and husband, Randy, of Newton, Gaye Ikard, of Maiden NC; and Donna Tesner of Polkville NC, two close family friends, Frank Chorpenning, and Kathy Kimbrell, both of Lexington.   The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2009, at the funeral home and other times at 602 Ridge Mill Circle.       Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
