Betsy "Sunny" Crouse Watkins

Betsy “Sunny” Crouse Watkins, of Turner Road, Lexington passed away Monday (February 23, 2015) at Thomasville Medical Center. Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Friday (February 27, 2015) at Pilgrim Reformed Church, where she was a member, with Rev. Richard Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Pilgrim Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Thursday night and at other times at the home of her daughter, Sharon Clark in Lexington, NC. Sunny was born in Davidson County, October 27, 1926 to Nannis and Elizabeth Crouse. She was a retired Administrative Assistant with Dr. Sim Siceloff as well as Siceloff Manufacturing. She was a graduate of Pilot School and was the Salutatorian of her class. She genuinely loved her grandson and great-granddaughters; she enjoyed taking courses and learning information of all sorts of topics. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ardinus “Nick” Watkins in 2012; as well as her sister, Grace Toney. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Clark and husband Randy of Lexington; grandson, Nicholas Sledge wife Kennie of Lexington; great-granddaughters, Kelcie and Courtney affectionately called “Peewee” and “Barney”; two sisters, Sarah Beck of Lexington, NC and Bobbie Hege of Jamestown, NC.
