Bettie Watkins Thrift

Bettie Jane Watkins Thrift, 92, of Lexington went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 8, 2022, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

A graveside service will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at Parklawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor David Langley officiating.

Mrs. Thrift was born in Forsyth County on July 24, 1930, to Millard Olden Watkins and Effie Rosina Yokley Watkins. She was a loving mother and grandmother whose memory will be cherished forevermore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Jack Dean Thrift, Sr.; four brothers, O.B. Watkins, Billy Watkins, Joe Watkins, and Harry Watkins; and five sisters, Eusebia Moore, Frances Willard, Lucy Holland, Idema Johnson, and Mary Lanningham.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Jack Thrift, Jr. (Sherry), Craig Thrift (Ivory, Jr.), and Rosina Tesh (Joe); two grandchildren, Teia Revels (Bryce), and Bridget Quinn (Tony); and a host of nieces and nephews.
