We loved her in 74 years of life, Let us not forget her after death. Betty passed away October 6, 2020 at Abbotts Creek Center in Lexington, NC, and she was born September 18, 1946 in Spartanburg, SC and lived in Sunnyvale, CA, Charlotte and Winston Salem, NC. Betty was an accomplished barber/stylist and owner/operator of Sugaw Creek Hair Design in Charlotte, NC until her retirement and relocation to Winston Salem. Betty was a free-spirited, passionate and loved all her family and friends; and always telling them: I LOVE YOU & GOD LOVES YOU MORE!

Loved one’s include her husband of 53 years, Edward Strait; sister, Hazel Pitts Thomas; sister-in-laws, Margaret Fortune (Rex) and Carolyn Pitts; niece, Patricia Falcone (Patrick); God-daughter, Jesalyn Norfleet (Milton).

As per her request, her body was donated to Wake Forest School of Medicine; thereafter her ashes will be spread at one of her most tranquil places. “Remembering Betty” celebration will be held in Charlotte, NC at a future date.
