Betty Louise Blake

Betty Louise Myers Ellis Blake, age 72 of Hoyd Lane, Kernersville, passed away Sunday (9-28-2008) at Forsyth Medical Center, after a long illness. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday at the Davidson Funeral Home-Hickory Tree Chapel, with Rev. Jim Bush officiating. Entombment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. Mrs. Blake was born in Davie County, August 23, 1936 to James Luther Myers and Gladys May Keaton Myers. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers; Grover, Ned and Ted Doby. Surviving are: 2 daughters; Vickie Lynn Brown and husband Eddie of Winston Salem and Tammie Jo Ellis of Kernersville, 2 Sons; Robert Wade Ellis and wife Joyce of Winston Salem and Kevin Scott Blake of Kernersville, 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, 5 sisters; Edith Morter, Loretta Porter, Grace Myers, Ruby Bingham and Judy Eller, 5 brothers; Jimmy and John Myers, Bill, Donald and Earl Doby. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm Tuesday night at Davidson funeral Home-Hickory Tree Chapel.
