Betty Byerly Brown 91 of Clemmons went home to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday September 22, 2021 at her home. A private family only graveside service will be at Good Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery conducted byPastor Chris Bennett. Betty was born August 10, 1930 in Davidson County to Sid Raymond Byerly and Perry Younts Byerly. She was a retired nurse with Medical Park Hospital and had also worked at R.J. Reynolds. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Curtis Carter and second husband, John F. Ogburn and a son, Randy Carter. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Glenn Byerly, Von Byerly and Neil Byerly and sisters, Faye Shellhorn and Laura Caputy. Surviving are her husband, Roy Brown of the home. Her son, Chris Carter (Jane) and daughter Donna Carter Michael (Lonnie) all of Lexington. Also surviving are several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Good Hope United Methodist Church.
