Betty Ann Coppley Butler, 76, of Vanmar Drive, Lexington, went home to be with the Lord Friday November 13, 2015 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel with Rev. Don Durham officiating services.
Burial will follow Forest Hill Memorial Park
The family will receive friends 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel and other times at the home of the daughter on N. State Street in Lexington.
Mrs. Butler was born May 10, 1939 in Davidson County to Clarence Poe Coppley and Mini Louise Hunt Coppley. She was a 1957 graduate of Linwood High School, then married her high school sweetheart and was a military wife for 21 years. She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Robert Butler Sr.; one son, Robert Butler Jr. (Sherri) of Coppers Cove Texas; two daughters, Barbara Butler (Gene) of Lexington and Deborah Lucas of Crawfordsville Indiana; five grandchildren, Clarence Butler and Jessica Butler Smith (Justin) of Texas, Robert Seth Butler (Kelly) of Lexington, Matthew Lucas of Vinegrove Kentucky, Ryan Lucas of Crawfordsville Indiana and two great-grandchildren Riley and Justin Smith Jr. of Texas.
The family would like to thank friends and family who called and their prayers.
