Betty Lou Carter

Betty Lou Carter, 83, a resident of Lexington, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2023 in Kiser Hospice in Salisbury. She was born in Rowan County on November 6, 1939 to the late Robert and Trula Shue. She worked for Yarborough’s Restaurant until her retirement. Betty was a loving mother and grandmother who especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She will be missed by many. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Carter.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00PM Monday, February 6, 2023 in Forest Hill Memorial Park. There will not be a formal visitation. In lieu of flowers, please direct memorials to Kiser Hospice, 1229 Statesville Blvd. Salisbury, NC 28144 and/or Davidson County Hospice, 200 Hospice Way Lexington, NC 27292. Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington is assisting the family.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, David Carter (Melissa) of Lexington, Sandy Carter of Tyro, and Timmy Carter of Lexington; her grandchildren, Adam Carter (Kayla) of Lexington, Mason Carter of Landis, Cody Carter of Lexington, and McKinley of Lexington; and five great-grandchildren.
