Betty Daubenmeyer

Betty Cope Daubenmeyer, 75, of Haden Grove Church Road, Linwood, NC died Monday, August 6, 2007, at Lexington Memorial Hospital. A Graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday at Forest Hill Memorial Park with interment to follow. Mrs. Daubenmeyer was born October 20, 1931 in Davidson County to Ivory Cope and Grace Byerly Cope. She was a retired rural mail carrier for the U. S. Post Office Linwood Office. She was preceded in death by her parents, by brothers James Cope and Paul Cope and by sisters Rachel Hull and Helen White. Mrs Daubenmeyer is survived by her husband John Daubenmeyer of the Home. She is also survived by a son, Pete Cope and wife Kathy of Lexington; by daughters, Gwen Leonard and husband Grady of the home and Wanda King and husband Darrin of Spruce Pine, a brother Bobby Cope of Lexington and sisters Sadie Miller, Judy Stanley, Mary Burris, Essie Duggins all of Linwood and Bernice Hill of Lexington. She has four grandchildren; Nikki Beck, Renee Baynard and husband Michael, Brittney King and Brandon King and five great grandchildren, Michael Baynard, Casey Beck, Lathan Baynard, Bree Craver and Mason Baynard. The family will see friends from 6:30 to 8:30 PM Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel and other times at the residence on Haden Grove Church Road.
