Betty Mecimore Davis

Betty Mecimore Davis, 80 formerly of Maple Street, Welcome passed away Friday April 26, 2013 at Mallard Ridge Assisted Living. A funeral service will be held at4:00 pm Monday at First Baptist Church of Welcome where she was a member, conducted by Rev. Mark Blair and burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:30 until 3:30 pm prior to the service at the church and at other times at the home. Mrs. Davis was born October 15, 1932 in Rockingham County to Tate and Lula Annie Starnes Mecimore. She was retired from Sara Lee . Her parents and brothers and sisters preceded her in death. Surviving are her loving husband of 62 years, Willis (Bill) Eugene Davis of the home, two daughters, Nora Anne Flowe (Larry) of Lexington and Vickie Davis Brinkley (Gary) of Topeka Kansas. Her grandchildren, Jeremy Flowe (Kyleen) and Staci Brinkley Brown (Gary),and great grandchildren, Suzanne and Wyatt Brown. Also surviving is a special niece, Linda Nifong along with many other loving nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Welcome, P.O. Box 269, Welcome, NC 27374.
