Betty Lucille Bridges Essick

Betty Lucille Bridges Essick, 75, of Lexington went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 31, 2021.

A graveside service will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at Reeds United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Betty will lie in state one hour before the service in the church sanctuary, where the family will see friends . At the request of the church masks are required while inside the sanctuary.

Ms. Essick was born in Shelby, NC on August 26, 1946 to Thomas Edward Bridges and Lucille Falls Bridges. She was retired from Lexcom, having worked in the accounting department. Ms. Essick was a loving mother, sister, and grandmother whose memory will be cherished forevermore. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Christi Hepler (Todd), and Kimberly Essick all of Lexington; her brothers, Eddie Bridges (Linda) of Roxboro, and Larry Bridges (Patsy) of Winston Salem; five grandchildren, Jeremy (Megan), Megan (Patrick), Dylan (Kristie), Jessica Blake, and Allison; six great-grandchildren; one great-grandchild on the way; and her beloved nieces, nephews and their families.
