Betty Rose Hunt Gallimore, age 85 of Oakwood Blvd. Lexington passed away Wednesday morning (March 11, 2015) at Hinkle Hospice House.
Funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Friday (March 13, 2015) in the Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel with Rev. Jeff Perdue officiating. Burial will follow in Toms Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Thursday night and at other times at the home of a granddaughter, Heidi Wright, 1572 Beckner Road, Lexington and other family members at their respective homes.
Betty was born in Davidson County March 22, 1929 to David Hill and Clara Belle Cooper Hunt. She was a retired employee of Carolina Underwear. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Fred Gallimore.
Surviving are her daughters, Fran G. Robbins and significant other, Dale Floyd of Lexington, Paulette Moorefield and husband Steve of Holly Springs and Carolyn Money and husband Jimmy of Advance; step-daughters, Greta Grubb of Lexington and Claudette Bevan of Thomasville; step-sons, Steve Gallimore of Arcadia and Paul Yates of Denton; 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 10 step-grandchildren and 19 step-great-grandchildren; sister, Merle Owens of Denton; brother, Robert Hunt of Lexington.
