Betty Jo Jones Harden

Betty Jo Jones Harden, age 83 of Pine Ridge Health and Rehabilitation, Thomasville passed away Monday morning May 30, 2016 at Pine Ridge. A private family graveside service will be held in Gibsonville, NC with Rev. Frank “Jeff”Oldham officiating and burial will follow. The family will receive friends at the home of Zoobie and Alvin Everhart from 11:00 until 1:00 pm Wednesday, June 1, 2016. Betty Jo was born in Alamance County, April 14, 1933 to Charles Franklin and Gertrude Michael Jones. She was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church, Highway 8 South and worked for many years as a waitress at Jimmy’s Barbecue. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Milton Harden, Jr.; son Steve Harden; grandson, Daniel Harden; brothers, Wayne and George W. Jones. Surviving are her daughter, Pattie “Zoobie” Everhart (Alvin) of Lexington; sons, Terry Harden (Lisa) of Raleigh and John Milton Harden, III and former daughter-in-law Joan; 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Elaine Matthewson; brother, Woody Jones; daughter-in-law, Pat Harden of Southmont; sister-in-law, Peggy Jones and a longtime dear friend, Ray Frank.
