Betty Herring Haynes

Betty Lou Herring Haynes, age 71, of Stratford Road, Lexington, passed away Friday (March 4, 2011) at her home. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday (March 9, 2011)at Lexington City Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Knight officiating. Burial will follow. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 12:30 until 1:30 prior to the graveside service and at other times at the home. Betty was born in Richmond County, NC January 6, 1940 to Loftin Henry Herring and Minnie Hinson Herring. She was a retired plant nurse with Stanley Furniture; and a member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Minnie Faye Smith and Elizabeth Harrison. Surviving are; one daughter, Patricia Alexander of Lexington; two granddaughters, Angelia Haynes and Michelle Henderson and three great-grandsons; two sisters, Virginia Mercer of Florida and Margaret Bennett of New Bern, NC; many beloved nieces and nephews.
