Betty Hill

January 19, 1933 — December 9, 2020

Betty Lou Swinson Hill, 87, of Lexington went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at Forsyth Medical Center.

A private graveside service will be held at the Lexington City Cemetery.

Mrs. Hill was born in Cabarrus County on January 19, 1933 to Lee Roy Swinson and Gordia Johnson Swinson. She was retired from Coleman Hair Design, was a member of the former Fairmont Presbyterian Church and was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Hill was a loving mother, sister, and grandmother whose memory will be cherished forevermore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Lindsey Hill; two sons, Michael Hill and Randall Hill and three sisters, Eleanor Sifford, Yvonne “Billy” Barbie and Pete Nance.

Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Terry Hill (Betty) and Greg Hill (Wendy) all of Lexington; two brothers, Roy Swinson of Bolivia and Justice Lee “Duby” Swinson (Katrina) of Monroe; two sisters, Ethel Orrell (Howard) of Churchland and Beulah Stallings of Huntersville; a son-in-law, Earl Barbie; two grandchildren, Matthew Hill and Meagan Seabright (Joey); two great-grandchildren, Colton and Lexi; and a host of nieces and nephews.
