Betty Thomason Hilton, 85, of Sunbridge of Lexington, formerly of Little Pond Road, Winston-Salem, died Thursday morning, Oct. 25, 2007, at Lexington Memorial Hospital. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Second United Church of Christ, where she was a member, by the Rev. Jerry Moore. Burial will follow in Lexington City Cemetery. Mrs. Hilton was born in Davidson County on May 16, 1922, to Willie Thomason and Ethel Purdy Thomason. She was a retired employee of Yarbrough's Hosiery Mill. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Winford Harmon Hilton, in 1992; two brothers, George and Charlie Thomason; and a sister, Mildred Bowen. Surviving are a son, Stewart Craig Hilton and his wife, Marilyn, of Lexington; two daughters, Jonetta Hilton Conrad and her husband, Dan, of Kernersville and Phyllis Hilton Everhart and her husband, Buck, of Winston-Salem; five grandchildren, Cindy Miles, Angie Hunt, Craig Everhart, Sam Hilton and Trish Hilton; eight great-grandchildren, Stephanie, Lauren, Elizabeth, Colby, Adam, Alyssa, Tyler and Brandon; a brother, Alec Thomason of Lexington; and a sister, Sarah Jane Moody of Lexington. The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. Saturday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, and other times at their respective homes.
