Betty Rummage Hobbs

Betty Jean Rummage Hobbs passed away Sunday January 10, 2010 at Forsyth Medical Center. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 13, 2010, at Reeds Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Dave Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Hobbs was born September 23, 1930, in Ellerbee, NC, to Charlie Rummage and Ida Belle Wright Rummage.   Surviving are her husband, Larry Bayne Hobbs of the home; sons, Bayne Hobbs and wife, Becky, and Kerry S. Hobbs and wife, Margaret, all of Lexington; daughters, Amy Hobbs and Deborah Thompson and husband, Rodney, all of Lexington; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Charles Rummage and wife, Estelle, of Lexington. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, January 12, 2010, at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home on Becky Hill Road. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
