Betty Jean Floyd

Mrs. Betty Jean Hedrick Floyd, 86, of Holloways Church Rd, died Monday, December 24 at High Point Medical Center.    A funeral service will be held at 3pm Saturday, December 29 at Holloways Baptist Church, by the Rev. Dr. Dana Slack and Rev. Craig Barnhill. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.    The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM   Mrs. Floyd was born September 12, 1932 in Davidson County to Phillip A. Hedrick and Virgie Lookabill Hedrick.  She was a lifelong and faithful member of Holloways Baptist Church.  She was married to J. R. Floyd who died in 1996.  She was also preceded in death by her parents and by a sister and brother-in-law, Becky and James Sowers.   She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Hancock (Greg), and Robin Floyd, both of Lexington; her sisters, Frances Sink and husband, Bob, of Lexington; and her step sister, Roxie Wofford of Southmont.   Memorials may be made to the Southmont Food Pantry, PO Box 758, Southmont, NC 27351.
