Betty Kennon

Betty Carrell Crowell Kennon, 74, of Lindy Road, passed away Wednesday morning, Jan. 30, 2013, at Brian Center of Lexington. A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel by the Revs. Herman Powell, Maston Love and Kenneth Norman. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home and at other times at the home. Betty was born in Fayette County, Ala., to Fred Brazilla Carrell and Annie Mae Duck Carrell. She was a retired employee of Lexington Furniture and of the Full Gospel Faith. She was preceded in death by her parents; son Coach Mike Crowell; stepdaughter Jane Muse; and a brother, Jimmy Carrell. Betty is survived by her husband, Robert Kennon Jr., of the home; daughter Teresa Sears and husband Keith of Plaquemine, La.; son David Crowell and friend Melissa of Denton; three grandchildren, David Allen Crowell, Emilie Janell Crowell and Brenden Tyler Crowell; daughter-in-law Kathie Crowell of Denton; five stepgrandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; and stepson Robert Samuel Kennon of Orland, Fla.
