Betty Myers Ladig

Betty Jean Myers Ladig, 81 of Alston Brook Nursing Home, formerly of Westside Drive, Lexington died Saturday March 7, 2009 at Alston Brook.  Graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, (3-10-2009) at Forest Hill Memorial Park with Rev. Jimmy  Greene officiating.  Burial will Follow in Forest Hill.   Betty was born in Davidson County, December 27, 1927 to Patrick McLean Myers and Callie Waitman Myers.  She was a retired employee of Duracell with over 30 years of service, and a member of Sheets Memorial Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband James (Jim) Ladig, on July 10, 2006.    Surviving are: son, Rev. Craig Barnhill and wife Pam of Lexington; two daughters, Rita Huff and husband Jeff of Lexington and Brenda Faye Barnhill of Lexington; four grandchildren, Annette Varner, Scott Craver, Bryan Grubb and Zach Huff and four great-grandchildren; one sister, Gertrude Jarvis of Wilmington, NC.   The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home, Monday night from 6 until 7:30 pm.     Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
