Betty Lou Fritts

Betty Lou Yow Fritts, 84, of East Center Street, died Saturday at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.    A funeral service will be held at 11 am Thursday, October 19 at Freedom Baptist Church, by Preacher Clyde Akers.  Burial will follow Forest Hill Memorial Park.   The family will receive friends from 5 to 7pm Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter on Conrad Hill Mine Road.   Ms. Fritts was born May 20, 1933 in Randolph County to Melvin Yow and Nancy Morris Yow Beck.  She retired from PPG Industries and was a member of Freedom Baptist Church.  Her brothers, Arthur Yow and Floyd Yow, and her sisters, Ila Thompson, Barbara Wood, and Hazel Bates, preceded her in death.    She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Walters of Lexington; her sisters, Betty Hilliard and Katherine Johnson (Tim), both of Asheboro; her grandson, Jeremy Walters (Brittney), her great grandchildren, Jackson, Bailey, and Callie; and her special friend, Keith Call of Lexington.   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Freedom Baptist Church, 214 Hillcrest Court, Lexington NC 27292.
