Betty Mae Hines Varner

Betty Mae Hines Varner, age 84 of Wildlife Road, Lexington passed away Tuesday night (March 3, 2015) at Lexington Health Care. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Friday (March 6, 2015) at Becks Reformed Church with Rev. James Byers officiating. Burial will follow in Becks Reformed Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Thursday night. Betty was born in Davidson County April 16, 1930 to William Howard and Velna Burkhart Hines. She was a retired employee of PPG and member of Becks Reformed Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 59 years, Leon Billy Varner in November 20, 2008; brothers, Vanhoy (Squeak) Hines and Jim Hines, sister-in-law, Margie Hines Betty is survived by her daughter, Shirley Varner Putnam of Lexington; sister, Barbara Owen and husband Willie (Uncle Bill) of Lexington; sister-in-law, Joyce Hines of Lexington; several special nieces and nephews, church family at Becks Reformed, and the BYG Christmas Carolers. Thanks to her home caregivers, Remy, Angel, Gail, Wendy and Tiffany and the staff of Lexington Health Care.
