Betty Delois Mcdowell

Betty DeLois McDowell, 78, of Robert Floyd Rd., Lexington died Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015 at Abbotts Creek Rehabilitation and Care Center. A Memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, March 1, 2015, at Tyro United Methodist Chapel with Rev. Randy Foster officiating. A private inurnment will be held at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. in the chapel. Miss. McDowell was born January 16, 1937, in Davidson County, to Albert McDowell and Neva Rollins McDowell. She was a self-employed hairdresser and a member of Tyro United Methodist Church. Preceding her in death was her parents. Surviving are two sisters, Elizabeth McDowell Lookabill of Lexington, Judith Ann McDowell of Winston-Salem, formerly of Atlanta; nieces, Sharon Lookabill of Lexington Julie Lookabill White (Joe) of Lexington; and grand-nephews, Austin White, Alex White and Asa White. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
