Betty Newton Perry, of Lexington, passed away on Tuesday, April 22nd, 2025, at the age of 74. Betty was born on Monday, March 12th, 1951, in Henderson, in Vance County, North Carolina to the late William "Billy” Newton and Ada Minor Newton.  Betty was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grand and great grandmother, and most importantly a friend, whose warmth and kindness will be cherished by all who knew her.

A longtime resident of Lexington, Betty dedicated her life to raising and loving her boys. She had a career in the furniture industry early in life. During most of her working years, she worked in management roles and education was important to Betty. She earned an associate's degree of social sciences from Henderson County Community College and later, her love for learning and her nurturing spirit guided her to positions in the food service industry. Betty was a manager with Hardee's, and Biscuitville Corporations. Her commitment and passion for her work were evident to everyone she worked with, making a lasting impact on colleagues and restaurant patrons alike. She retired in 1994 at the age of 43. Later on, in 2013, Betty married the love of her life, Billy Perry, who she had known for nearly 30 years. Her nurturing and loving spirit also lead her to have a special place in her heart for her animals.

Betty was a devoted member of Greater Vision Freewill Baptist Church. Her faith and generosity were the cornerstones of her life, influencing those around her in many ways.

Betty is survived by her husband Bill, Brother Ralph Newton wife Ferrell, and sister Rose Newton Davis of Henderson NC. Her sons; Stephan Robertson and his wife Tammy of *(Taylorsville)*, Kentucky, Allen Satterwhite with Andrea Camper of Lexington, NC, and Keith Smith and Lauren of Lexington, NC; grandchildren, Courtney, MacKenzie, Destiny, Owen, Andy, Skylar, Zoey, Middison and 3 great grandchildren.

A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held at Greater Vision Freewill Baptist Church in Lexington on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at 4:00pm to honor Betty's life and legacy with Pastor Doug McGee officiating. Betty will be laid to rest at a later date in Forest Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Lexington, North Carolina.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Greater Vision Freewill Baptist Church in memory of Betty Newton Perry, whose spirit and love left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
