Betty Slaydon Reich

Betty Sue Slaydon Reich, 81, of BR Hunt Road, died Friday January 1, 2021 at her home.

A graveside service will be held 3:00 pm Monday at Center United Methodist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Warren Miller.

Mrs. Reich was born January 12, 1939 in Surry County to Johnny Morgan Slaydon and Alice Draughn Slaydon. Betty retired from Davidson County School system after 25 years of service. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, sewing and gardening as well as helping others. Mrs. Reich was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Bobby Craver Reich; a son, David Reich four sisters, Thelma Walker, Mary Amato, Bertha Allen and two brothers, Ralph Slaydon and Wallace Slaydon.

Surviving is  her son Jeffrey Reich and wife Pam of Lexington; daughter Catherine Reich of Lexington;  two sisters Samira Wood (Lynn) and Janie Livengood; 6 grandchildren Shannon Lawson (Brittney), April Soom (Tony), Kelly Byrd, Brian Reich (Aly) , Katlyn Paynter (Zack) and Nicole Flynt (Sean); and 12 great-grandchildren, Catherine Lawson (Taylor), Dalton Byrd, Sam Soom, Conner Byrd, Emma Byrd, Brody Greene, Eli Soom, Tori Soom, Brayden Hedrick, Addie Paynter, Charli Reich and Wren Flynt; and a host of Nieces and Nephews she loved dearly.
