Betty Pickett Rue

Betty Maude Pickett Graves Rue, age 86, of Henderson, NV formerly of Piedmont Crossing, Thomasville passed away Monday morning (Nov. 28, 2011) in Henderson, NV. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday (Dec. 3, 2011) at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Kelly Groce officiating. Burial will follow in Lexington City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 until 11:00 am Saturday. Betty was born in Davidson County, January 18, 1925 to Willie (Bill) Ervin Pickett and Willie Mae Thomason Pickett. She was a retired employee of DeKalb County, Georgia Board of Education and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Lexington. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, James Harold Graves in 1980 and Clarence A. Rue in 1999. Betty is survived by her sons, Jason Graves and wife Monica of Clemente, CA, Robert Graves and wife Ima of Henderson, NV and William Graves and wife Diane of San Antonio, TX; four grandchildren, Jessica Gonzalez and husband Gabriel, Casey Graves, Adrian Graves and Elena Graves; one great-grandchild, Avel Gonzalez; two sisters, Jo Doris Beck and husband Louis of Lexington and Billie Sink and husband Homer of Greensboro; one niece and two nephews.
