Betty Sharpe Sink

Betty Yow Sharpe Sink age 75, of Old US 52N, died early Sunday morning in the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, Winston-Salem NC after an illness of several weeks. She was born in Davidson County to Banks and Lucy Yow Sharpe, and was the secretary for Davidson Livestock Market until retirement. A funeral service will be 2:00 pm Wednesday October 22, 2008 in the Davidson Funeral Home Hickory Tree Chapel, with the Rev. Bob McCaskill officiating, with burial to follow in the Midway United Methodist Church cemetery. She is survived by her husband Darrell Sink of the home; three daughters Diane Koontz and husband Terry, Sonya Sink, and Patricia McBride all of Lexington; four brothers, John, Carey and Robert Sharpe of Linwood, and Arnold Sharpe of Southmont; one sister Sarah Beck of Lexington. She is also survived by three grandchildren Christina and Stephen McBride and Amy Koontz. No public visitation will be held and the family will receive friends at the residence. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, N.C. 27107.
