Betty Carter Smith

Betty Carol Carter Smith, 81, passed away Friday December 18, 2020 at Lexington Health Care.

Amemorial service will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Smith was born June 11, 1939 in Lenior County to Lloyd Carter Sr. and Willie Elizabeth Bradshaw Jones. She was a member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Lexington. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands Edward Lee Bivens, John Crabb and George Bonnell Smith; and a brother Lloyd Carter Jr.

Surviving are two sons; Marty Bivens (Sarah) of Lexington and Eddie Wayne Bivens of Wilmington; a daughter, Wendy Bivens Corder ( Greg) of Lexington and three sisters; Catherine Goodman of Carolina Shores North Carolina, Ruby Tallent of Lexington and Mary Miller of China Grove; 3 grandchildren Josh Ivey, Zachary Bivens and Laura Bivens and 4 great-grandchildren
