Betty Wright Stamey

In Loving Memory of Betty Jo Wright Stamey, age 75, wife and mother, who passed away at her home Sunday morning surrounded by her family. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Ricky Downing and Rev. Elwood Faircloth officiating. Burial will follow in Lexington City Cemetery.    Betty Jo was born on October 10, 1933 in Davidson County to Jack William Wright and Jessie Viola Hufton Wright. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother William Wright and a sister Juanita Benfield.   Surviving are: husband, Randall Stamey of the home; two daughters, Deborah Humphrey of Linwood and Jamie Duncan and husband Mike of Lexington; two sons, Dr. Ricky Downing and wife Patty of Winterville, NC and Randall A. Stamey, Jr and wife Tammy of Lexington; Twelve grandchildren, Angie Harding, Tim Smith, Stephanie Owens, Ricky Downing, Tanya Woodell, Michael Lane, Cory Duncan, Melissa Huitron, Colton Duncan, Justin Stamey, Serena Beck and Kendell Lambert and eight great-grandchildren.   The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel and other times at the home.   Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Davidson County, PO Box 1941, Lexington, NC  27293 or to Davidson Cancer Center, Hospital Drive, Lexington, NC 27292   Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
