Betty Walser Thomason

Betty Walser Thomason, 73, of Meadowview Road, died Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at her home following an extended illness. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday, May 3, 2013, at Reedy Creek Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Revs. Egbert Craven, Tim Gammons and Dean Thomason officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 2, 2013, at the funeral home and other times at the home. Mrs. Thomason was born March 20, 1940, in Davidson County, to Zeb Roney Walser and Mary Hailey Walser. She was retired from Dixie Furniture. Surviving are her husband, Billy Dean Thomason of the home; sons, Joe Thomason and wife Kelly and Dean Thomason and wife Dianna; grandchildren, R.J. Thomason, Becca Thomason and Chase Thomason, all of Lexington; brother, Bill Walser and wife Nancy of Clemmons; and sisters, Mary Blackburn and husband Grady, Kathy Tucker and husband Andy, Linda Hedrick and husband Jim, all of Clemmons, Joyce Hanes, Joann Everhart and husband Gary, both of Lexington.
