Betty Sue Spurrier Weaver, age 82, of Lexington passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at the Hinkle Hospice House.

A funeral service will be held at the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 10:00 am with the Revs. Roy Franks and Freddie Carlton, and the daughter, Diane Weaver officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday at the Funeral Home.

Mrs. Weaver was born on July 29, 1936 in Cabarrus County to Martha Kennedy Spurrier. She was a lifetime member of Victory Baptist Church and was the oldest female member prior to her passing. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Crystal Dawn Weaver; a brother, Bobby Spurrier; and a sister, Jeannie Thigpen.

Surviving are her loving husband of 66 years, Joe David Weaver of the home; her daughter, Diane Weaver of Archdale; a brother, William Spurrier (Donna) of Lexington; and four grandchildren, Carrie Bradshaw, Holly Smith, Kayla Beck, and Adam Weaver.
