Betty Wright

Betty Lucille Tussey Wright, 84, of Lexington passed away on Friday, December 27, 2019 at Peak Resources in Graham.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at the Tyro United Methodist Church Chapel with the Rev. Randy Foster officiating. Burial will follow at the Lexington City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 11:00 am prior to the service at the church.

Mrs. Wright was born in Davidson County on December 7, 1935 to Baxter Ray Tussey and Viola Beanblossom Tussey. She worked in press at Leonard Cleaners and was a member of Second Reformed Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Paul William Wright; and her sister, Peggy Tussey Beck.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, David Keith “Bub” Wright (Kelly) of Lexington, Paula Bailey (Terry) of Lexington and Michelle Wright (Benji Caywood) of Mebane; four grandchildren, Brett Bailey (Susan), Megan Tolbert (Will), Katie Hartley (Jason) and Abby Adamson (Tyler); and six great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimers Disease and Related Disorders Association at 3800 Shamrock Drive, Charlotte, NC 28215.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Peak Resources for their compassion and care over the past few years.
