Mrs. Beulah Viola Louya Morgan, 102, formerly of Mountain View Church Rd, died Friday, June 17 at Mountain Vista Health Park in Denton.
A graveside service will be held at 2pm Monday, June 20 at Macedonia United Methodist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Tammy Talbert.
The family will greet friends following the service.
Mrs. Morgan was born May 30, 1920 in Davidson County to John Q. Louya and Willie Belle Fritts Louya. She retired from Edgewood Apparel and later worked at Walmart as a greeter. She had served in the US Coast Guard Auxillary and was a member of Macedonia United Methodist Church. Her husband, Charlie Edward Morgan, her son, Harold Morgan, her daughter, Ruby Morgan Beck, her brother, John Paul Louya, her sisters, Blanch Crotts, Arlene Berrier, Elizabeth Burcham, and Ruth Sisk; and her granddaughter, Jill Smith, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her son, Bobby Morgan (Peggy) of Lexington; her daughter, Charline Morgan Carrick of Lexington; her sisters, Betty Shaw and Barbara Bowers, both of Lexington; seven grandchildren, and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to Macedonia United Methodist Church, PO Box 190, Southmont NC 27351.
The family would like to thank Mountain Vista Health Park for their loving care and support and special thanks to her great grandson, Brent Carrick as her care-giver.
