Beulah Mcculloch Shoaf

Beulah McCulloch Shoaf, age 91, of Abbotts Creek, formerly of Williams Street, Lexington passed away Wednesday night (June 1, 2011) at Abbotts Creek.  Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday (June 4, 2011) at the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Ray Howell, 3rd and Rev. Tommy Wilson officiating.  Burial will follow at Lexington City Cemetery.   The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home, from 10:00 until 11:00 am Saturday.   Mrs. Shoaf was born in Davidson County, July 9, 1919 to Dr. J. W. McCulloch and Eula Hardister McCulloch.  During her life she worked for Siceloff Manufacturing, Lexington City Schools and retired from Green Printing.  She was a member of First Baptist Church in Lexington.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Garland Luther Shoaf on November 22, 2002; sisters, Ruth Leonard King and Lola Ingram; brothers, Herbert, Jim, Doc, Clyde, Frank, John and Henry McCulloch and son-in-law, Jim Copley.   Surviving are; her daughter, Judy Michael and husband Rev. Larry Michael of Lexington; four grandsons, James Luke Copley of Boone, Matthew Garland Copley and wife Tonya of Thomasville, John Mark Copley and wife Carol Anne of High Point and David Lewis Copley of Lexington; five great-grandchildren, Adam, Anna, Chase, Madison, and Ally Copley; three step-granddaughters, Beth M. Walser, Suzanne Michael and Jackie M. Younts; two sisters-in-law, June McCulloch of Norfolk, Va and Dessie Shoaf of Lexington; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and her special room mates, Florence Leonard and Imogene Thomas.   A special thank you to all the staff at Abbotts Creek Care and Rehabilitation Center and her special caregiver Jennifer Louia.     Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
