Beverly Kay Billings

January 6, 1947 — August 7, 2022

Beverly Morris (Kay) Billings, 75, a resident of Lexington NC, went home to be with Jesus on August 7, 2022. Kay was born January 6, 1947, in Thomasville NC, to the late Eugene (Gene) Taylor Morris and Hazel Underwood Morris. In life, Kay graduated from Lexington Senior High School. Later she completed her Business degree at Ashmore Business College and began her career at Industrial Federal Savings Bank. She went on to work at the Lexington Alcoholic Beverage Control Store where she dedicated 41 years and received the City of Lexington Proclamation from the Mayor. She was a member of Second United Church of Christ of Lexington. Kay was the most loving, genuine Wife, Mother and Grandmother. Her smile and positive outlook on life radiated to those around her. You could always find her in the kitchen, outside listening to the birds, or petting her “buddy” (Hunter the dog). She adored and cherished her granddaughters very much. Kay’s unconditional love for her family was undefinable.

Kay (Grammy) is survived by her husband, Johnny Billings of 54 years, her son Anthony Billings of Clemmons NC, her daughter Beverly Cagle (Heath) of Clemmons NC, her two granddaughters Landis Billings and Emma Cagle of Clemmons, NC; her sister Barbara Perrell (Ed) of Winston Salem NC, and her brother Gene Morris Jr. (Cheri) of Lexington NC.

A Celebration of Life will be held August 20, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. in the Parlor at Second United Church of Christ of Lexington.

Finally, the family asks that in honor of Kay, please consider donating to the Alzheimer’s Association to aid in finding a cure. We would also like to extend our deepest gratitude to Hospice of Davidson County.
