Beverly Jean Lanier Edwards

Beverly Jean Lanier Edwards, age 86 of Charity Lane, lovingly known as Grandma Jean went home to be with the Lord, early Saturday morning (11-12-2011) at Rowan Regional Hospital. A funeral service will be 4 p.m. Thursday (11-17-2011) at Lifeway Church, 7621 Old Mocksville Road, Salisbury N.C., where she was a member, conducted by Rev. Danny Dillard. Visitation will be 3:00 to 4:00 Thursday prior to the funeral at the church. Jean was born September 21, 1925, in Middleton Ohio, to Herbert Lanier and Edna Louise Dowrey Lanier. She was a homemaker, a former member of both the Lexington and Spence Moose Lodge. She was a very active member of her church. She was married to Oscar Edwards, who preceded her in death in 1997. She was also preceded by her parents; son, Robert Warner Orick; and her brother, Ward P. Lanier. Surviving are daughters, Lisa Inman and husband, Randy, of the home, Debi Orick of Ohio; stepdaughter Glenda Faye Gieraltowski of Michigan; daughter-in-law Susan Orick of Florida; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Memorials can be made to the Master’s Plan of Lifeway Church at the address on Old Mocksville Road.
