Beverly Jean Ackert Williams

Beverly Jean Ackert Williams 60 passed away Sunday, July 30, 2017 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center Lexington.  A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, August 3, 2017, at First Alliance Church with Rev. Paul Titus officiating.  A visitation will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. prior to the service at the church.  Burial will be held at Cedar Grove Cemetery, 830 Mann St., Newport, NC on Saturday, August 5, 2017.  Beverly was born in Orange County, New York on March 15, 1957, to Vernon Ackert and Virgil Corey Ackert.  She worked at Food Lion and was a member of First Alliance Church.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Bill Ackert.  Surviving is her husband Clyde Roy Williams, Jr. of the home; two sons, Chris Outlaw (Brenda) of Goldsboro, NC, Jeremy Williams (Amanda) of W. Jefferson; two daughters, Elizabeth Ackert of Beaufort, NC, Cristin Smith (Andrew) of W. Jefferson; a brother, Cliff Ackert; a sister Becky Ackert of Newport, NC; a sister in-law Debbie Ackert; one niece Brooke; and ten grandchildren.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Alliance Church, 1370 Arnold Rd., Lexington, NC  27295.  Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is assisting the family.
