Bill Farris

Mr. William Charles Farris, 56, of Isabel Drive, Lexington died Tuesday, September 06, 2016. A memorial service will be held at 1pm Saturday, September 10 at First Lutheran Church by the Rev. Matthew Miller. Inurnment will follow in the Church Columbarium. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Friday in the church fellowship hall. Mr. Farris was born August 6, 1960 in Chattanooga, TN to Dr. George William Farris and Mary Sue Huneke Farris. He was a CPA CFE and Administrative Partner of Turlington and Company, LLP. Bill was an active member of First Lutheran Church, where he served for many years as comptroller. He was also active in his community, where he had served as treasurer for many organizations, including Meals on Wheels, Lexington Swim Club and the Edward C. Smith Civic Center. Bill also served as president of Lutheridge Property Association in Arden, NC. His parents preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Mary Beth Finley Farris, of the home; his daughter, Mary Kathryn Farris of Greenville, SC; and his brother, James Lee Farris of Port St. Lucie, FL.
