Billy Ray Bolden

Billy Ray "Squirrel" Bolden, 59, of Leonard Road, passed away Thursday afternoon, Oct. 29, 2009, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Forest Hill Memorial Park by the Rev. Sealy Cross. Squirrel was born Nov. 22, 1949, in McDowell, W.Va., to Ray Arvil and Loretta Davis Bolden. He was a retired self-employed cable lineman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three daughters, Christina Lynn Bolden, Patricia Ann Bolden and Priscilla Ann Bolden. He is survived by his wife, Sherry Stephenson Bolden of the home; two sons, Kenneth Ray Bolden and Justin Allen Bolden, both of Lexington; two grandchildren, Cody Ray Bolden and Jacob Austin Bolden; and one sister, Carol McKinney and her husband, Opie, of Abbs Valley, Va. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.
