Billy Gray Burkhart, Sr.

Billy Gray Burkhart, Sr. 66 of Winston-Salem passed away Wednesday morning, August 13, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM Saturday, August 16, 2014 at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel. Billy was born in Surry County on January 29, 1948 to Friel Burkhart, Sr. and Tesie Marsh Burkhart. He was a supervisor with Duke Power. Billy was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Mary M. Burkhart Tilley and a grandson Taylor B. Burkhart. Surviving are two sons, Billy Gray Burkhart, Jr. of Elkin, Grayson Burkhart of Fuquay Varina, NC; a daughter Dana Burkhart of Midway; brother, Friel Burkhart, Jr. (Betty) of Slate Mountain, NC; three grandchildren, Krista Templin, Keely G. Heveron and Kaeson T. Heveron. Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is assisting the family.
