Billy Ray Cross

Billy Ray Cross, 76, of Southmont, died Sunday, February 26, 2017, at Hinkle Hospice House.  The funeral will be 2:00 pm Friday March 3, 2017 at Macedonia United Methodist Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Tammy Talbert officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm Friday March 3, 2017 at Macedonia United Methodist Church.  Mr. Cross was born August 22, 1940, in Davidson County, to Jessie Lovelace Cross and Julia Tysinger Cross. He was self-employed serving the logging and saw mill community. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Ronald Ray Cross; and brothers, Ted Cross, June Cross, Frank Cross and Ronald Cross.  Surviving are his loving wife, Sue Everhart Cross of the home; brother, John Cross; and sisters, Kathy Cross and Marie Foster, both of Southmont.
