Billy Joe Edwards

Billy Joe Edwards, 49, of Wrenn Road, died Thursday night, Aug. 3, 2006, at Lexington Memorial Hospital after six months of declining health. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Macedonia United Methodist Church cemetery by the Rev. Burt Williams. Mr. Edwards was born in Davidson County on March 11, 1957, to Willie Freddy and Virginia Carlene "Connie" Weatherman Edwards. He was a former employee of Cracker Barrel and a member of Macedonia United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, who are residents of Lexington, he is survived by a brother, Gene Edwards and his wife, Lavon, of Thomasville; two sisters, Debbie Beck and her husband, Johnny, and Linda Jarrett and her husband, Chris, all of Lexington; a niece, Erin Edwards; four nephews, Brenton Jarrett and his companion, Roxanna Monday, Greg Jarrett and his wife, Shannon, Chip Edwards and his wife, Erin, and David Beck and his wife, Jennifer; and eight great-nephews. The family will receive friends at the home on Rockcrusher Road from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday. Memorials may be made to Macedonia United Methodist Church Building Fund, 10890 N.C.
