Billy Forrest

Billy Reed Forrest, 72 of Arvil Hunt Rd., Lexington, died Thursday in Liberty Wood Nursing Home, Thomasville after declining health. A Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday in Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with the Dr. Gary Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mr. Forrest was born June 16, 1934 in Davie County to Phillip Hosey Forrest and Evelyn Modell Williams. He was a former employee of Stanley Furniture Warehouse Division. Preceding him in death was his wife, Nellie Mae Hege Forrest, 2 brothers, Frank Forrest, Hosey Forrest and a sister, Lib Yarbrough. Surviving are a son, Alan Reid Forrest and wife Pamela, of Lexington; 2 grandchildren, Joshua and Cory Forrest; 3 step grandchildren, Jonathan, Clara and Kyle Blackwell; a brother, John Forrest and wife Betty Jean of Advance; sisters, Sue Koontz and husband Paul of Lexington, Lois Yarbrough and husband Bobby of Waynesville and his loving dog, Tessa. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Saturday and other times at 216 Arvil Hunt Rd.
