Billy Ray Frye, 74 of Hillside Drive Lexington died Tuesday afternoon at Alston Brook. A Funeral Service will be held 2:00 pm Friday June 1, 2007 at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by the Revs. Jimmy Greene and Gene Little. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park with Military Graveside Rites by Memorial Honor Guard. He was born November 11, 1932 in Johnson County to James Alonzo Frye and Blanche O’Neill Frye. He was the retired owner and operator of Taylor Exxon for more than 25 years. Mr. Frye honorably served his country in the U.S. Army in Korea. He was a member of New Testament Baptist Church. His parents, his wife Kathleen Bean Frye and a daughter, Ann Frye Morrow,and a sister, Rebecca Frye Price preceded him in death. Surviving are his daughters, Linda Frye Morgan and husband, Roscoe, and Debra Frye Wyatt and husband, Donald, all of Lexington; a brother, Stacy Frye of Benson and a sister Joanne Holland and husband Donald of Raleigh; nine Grandchildren: Sydney Wyatt, Sara Wyatt, Anna Morgan, David Morrow, Douglas Morrow and wife, Ashley, all of Lexington, James Morgan and wife, Bobbie Jo, Benjamin Morgan, Timothy Morgan and Matthew Morgan, all of Mocksville; and a Great Grandson, Hayden Morrow of Mocksville and his special friend, Lucy Fletcher. The Family will receive friends Thursday from 6 until 8 pm at the Funeral Home and at other times at their respective homes. The family would like to thank the staffs of Hospice & Palliative Care of Rowan County, Brookstone Retirement Center and Alston Brook Nursing Home for the loving care they gave to Mr. Frye.
