Billy Gray Smith

Mr. Billy Gray Smith, 73, of Helmstetler Road, died Friday, January 14, 2011 at the Hinkle Hospice House. A private memorial service will be held. Mr. Smith was born May 16, 1937 in Yadkin County to Walter McKinley Smith and Carlie Matthews Smith. He retired from R.J. Reynolds after many years of service. He is survived by his sisters, Cora Lee Palmer, Lorell Myers, and Betty S. Bates, and husband, J.W., all of Lexington; and Barbara Bailey and husband, Bill, of Denver, NC; numerous nieces and nephews; and his special dog, Spud II.
