Billy Snider

Billy Joe Snider, 81, of Mt. Carmel Church Road, died Monday, Sept. 2, 2013, at Hinkle Hospice House. A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Emmanuel Wesleyan Church Cemetery by the Rev. Edwin Chriscoe. Military graveside rites will be provided by Davidson County Honor Guard. Visitation will follow the service at the home. Mr. Snider was born April 5, 1932, in Davidson County. He was retired from Hedrick Body Shop and a member of Emanuel Wesleyan Church. Surviving are wife Willa Mae Grubb Snider of the home; son Danny Ray Snider of Lexington; daughter Linda Snider Kesler and husband Tim of Lexington; three grandchildren, Bradley Kesler, Kendra Kesler Turbeville and Bryan Kesler; great-grandchild Dalton Turbeville; and half-brother Dwayne Livengood of Lexington. Memorials may be made to Emmanuel Wesleyan Church, 555 Old Hargrave Road, Lexington, NC 27295. Davidson Funeral Home is serving the family.
