Mr. Billy Ray Weaver, 75, of Kentwood Lane, died Saturday at Lexington Health Care after a serious illness of two weeks.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 3 at Good Hope United Methodist Church, by the Rev. Frankie Matthews. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
Mr. Weaver was born June 30, 1936 in Davidson County to Burgess Eli Weaver and Maggie Phillips Weaver. He retired from Stanley Furniture after 42 years of service and was a member of Good Hope United Methodist Church. His brothers, Bryce Weaver and Archie Weaver, and his sister, Kathleen Shoaf, preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Barker Weaver, of the home; his daughter, Joanie Blankenship and husband, Gary, of Lexington; his step-son, Larry Koonts, of Lexington; his brother, Don Weaver and wife, Lib, and twin brother, Bobby Weaver and wife, Betty, both of Lexington; his sister, Pauline Jones of Lexington; his grandchild, Taylor Blankenship, and step-grandchild, Justin Koonts and wife, Meghan both of Lexington.
