Blanche Leonard Younts

Blanche Leonard Younts, 98, of Davidson County, went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday morning, June13, 2025, at Hinkle Hospice House.

She will lie in state from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM while the family receives friends between 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Tuesday, June 17th, 2025, at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree.

A graveside service will follow the visitation at 12:15 PM, at Reedy Creek Church of Christ, 2129 Reedy Creek Church Rd. Lexington, NC 27295.

Blanche was born on September 3, 1926, in Davidson County, to the late Rufus Clayton Leonard and Bertha Craver Leonard. She is remembered for her love and compassion for everyone and her desire to help and nurture those in her presence.

Her family was the most important facet of her life after the Lord, and she showed it by her care and her cooking. One of her signature dishes was chicken and dumplings, and there will never be another recipe of its matching.

Spending time at home with her family was her favorite pastime and she spent many days keeping her home warm and welcoming to all who entered.

A beloved member of Reedy Creek Church of Christ, fellow church members, and everyone she met knew that she was a devoted follower of Christ, and she did her best to show his love through her actions.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by the love of her life and husband of 63 years, Richard Worth Younts; daughter in law, Rebecca Younts; six brothers, Paul Leonard, Orville Leonard, Harvey Leonard, Clarence Leonard, Ellard Leonard, and Allen Leonard; and two sisters, Mae Leonard Weaver, and Mildred Leonard Barby.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, Rick Younts, of Lexington; grandson, Daniel Younts (Heather); and great grandson, Xander.
